because freecreditreport.com switched their advertising scheme, i have identified my new commercial character that i want to torture to death. it's a kia commercial, where the male salesman (wearing a tie) rocks out to "maniac" from flashdance, complete with pelvic thrusts. the rage that builds inside of me whenever i see this commercial frightens me. i will never, ever, buy a kia because of this.
that guy that stars in the freecreditreport.com commercials? the one who says, "I'm thinking of a number....."?
yeah. he should be killed. slowly. with pain.
i keep seeing this sally field commercial for a osteoporosis prescription medication called "boniva." the gist of the commercial is that boniva is a once-a-month pill as opposed to other osteoporosis medications which are taken weekly.
sally field says something to the effect of, "my girlfriend says she has to set aside one morning EACH WEEK to take her osteoporosis pill. i told her i take once-monthly boniva, and she said "THAT I can do!""
geezus -- in what alternate universe is taking a pill once a week some kind of insurmountable feat? how long does it take to swallow a pill? it's as though this woman's routine is totally disrupted because she has to take a weekly pill.
sally goes on to point out that "2 out of 3 women prefer the dosing of boniva over the weekly dosing."
i'm so glad that so much time and effort is being spent on such monumental medical issues. take a pill once a week or once a month? i take lots of pills every day - and i can assure ms. field and her girlfriend that it takes between 2 and 5 seconds.
and why isn't sally field doing movies instead of commercials? i mean, i can understand lindsay wagner with the sleep number beds, but sally field won an oscar!
i watch too much television.
one of the many bad habits i have picked up while convalescing from chemo is watching these horrible fake courtroom shows - judge judy, judge mathis, people's court, cristina's court, judge alex -- there are literally dozens of these piece o' shit shows.
but the most disturbing to me is judge maria lopez, who claims in her intro to the show (complete with dramatic music) that "i went to law school to fight for causes i believed in!"
which explains why she is now a sell-out overseeing fake mediation for friends fighting over cell phone charges.
