a brief timeline

wednesday morning:

a series of activities (in chronological order)

1. bone density scan

2. muga scan

3. chest xray

4. demand port removal appointment from oncology nursing staff. refused to leave until scheduled.

friday morning:

1. port removed in outpatient surgery

today

1. oncologist's nurse called to say that my chest xray was fine and that it would be "okay to go ahead and schedule a time to have my port removed."

That's all well and good, but WHEN are you having your port removed?

Congrats on getting the port removed. I had mine out pretty much as soon as was humanly possible. "Out, out, damn port!"
